I don't get it... Trump's endorsements this cycle have been way off. Why would he endorse Flippo over Settelmeyer? Especially when both Amodei and Lombardo endorsed Settelmeyer. There's no way I'm voting for someone who is from Vegas to represent Northern Nevada in Congress. I don't appreciate being treated as a satellite to Clark County. James Settelmeyer comes from one of the old ranching families in the Carson Valley and represented Douglas County as an assemblyman and state senator. I trust him to represent Northern Nevada fairly. |

Well after seeing commercials and getting mailers in support of Flippo, I'm at the point where I can't see myself voting for him in the general election should he win the primary. Not only has his campaign come off as extremely negative to me, but his positions seem to be either so generalized or divorced from issues that actually impact Northern Nevada that I just don't think I can support him even if he is the CD-2 nominee. Flippo's first bill is to ban Sharia Law. I'm a hell of a lot more concerned about water rights, mineral rights, and public land policy than Sharia Law here. |
