I'm new to NV (been here a couple years) and getting a CCW, just finished/passed the class, and considering which firearm to carry. I'm old and I prefer a larger firearm than is popular these days. Question: Suppose I'm carrying concealed, but the firearm is not small (imagine a 1911 A1, maybe), and someone looking carefully notices a bump under the clothing. Is this any kind of violation? I'm thinking this is basically a cross-over from concealed to open carry, both of which are legal, right? Or does visibility of the bulge under the clothing count as displaying the firearm, which could be a violation. What are your thoughts? Should I ask a cop? |

What you are referring to when conceal carrying and your firearm shows printing under your shirt etc , is still concealed carry and you need to have that ccw with you. Open carry is just that, don’t overthink this. Re read the ccw vs open carry scenarios, I recall one online where there’s one with various pictures and categorize each.
