That’s in probably the safest part of Ohio being in Amish / Mennonite country. There are few hotels right in Baltic so you may have to look in Sugarcreek or Berlin. We’ve stayed in Berlin, OH at the Comfort Suites Hotel, about 20 minutes away from Baltic. If you want more of an Amish flavor try Berlin Grand Hotel. Anything else in Berlin or Sugarcreek should be fine too. Look out for Amish buggies and Amish riding electric bikes on the road. Hit up an Amish restaurant while you’re in the area. |

Berlin Encore would be a good choice too, as would the Carlisle Inn in Walnut Creek. The Carlisle has Coblentz Chocolate on one side and Der Dutchman on the other so you wouldn't go hungry  Yes, watch out for buggies especially when cresting hills. Also be aware that most businesses will close at 5 pm sharp and almost nothing is open on Sunday. |
