Really fun match today. Great seeing some old friends again. Based on the feedback we got about having an AR only Team Match we will try to figure something out. Not sure what, how or when. Everything is set for this months 600 yard semi auto "Mad Minute" match. The emphasis is semi autos, but bolt guns can play also. Please keep in mind that Sunday is Fathers Day and you might want to verify with your other half that you are allowed to have the morning off to play with the other kids in Pueblo. Set up starts at 7:00, the new shooter certification starts at 8:00 and the match will start around 9:15-9:30. Its going to be a scorcher, so the sooner we can start the sooner we can beat the heat. Tactical Rifle Matches on the 4th Sunday... For the months of June, July and August we will only run one match instead of the normal 9:00 and noon matches to beat the heat a little bit. Just so everyone can shoot, we bumped up the available slots for the 9:00 match by 10 shooters so most everyone can still play. But this way your match staff that gets there at 6:30 in the morning isnt dead tired when we wrap up the noon match around 3:30. If you want me to move you into the 9:00 match please let me know or you can go ahead and sign up for the 9:00 match. |

Lots of shooting in Pueblo this weekend. Saturday was the Precision Rimfire Match with a Spinner Side Match and today was the Tactical Rifle Match. We had a lot of help getting things set up both days. Huge thanks to everyone that comes out early and helps out at the match. Without help, matches cant and wont happen. Next month we go back to a 9:00 and a noon Tactical Rifle Match. It will be a busy month in Pueblo. Below is everything that we will have going on. Wednesday afternoon steel on the first and third Wednesday afternoons. 4 & 18 June. Set up starts at 3:30. Show up no later than 5:00 and we will get you shooting. No need to sign up in advance for the Wednesday matches. All other matches require signing up in advance on Practiscore. This month it is our annual semi-auto match. We will again have the mad minute option. If you decide to do that, you have 60 seconds to hit all 7 targets. You can shoot until you hit the targets or run out of time. If you opt for normal scoring, you have 90 seconds and one round per target. The fourth Sunday (22 June) is our regular Tactical Rifle Match. For June, July and August we get rid of the noon match so we dont have to deal with the heat. The fourth Saturday (28 June) is our Precision Rimfire Match. This months side match will have three targets (6, 9 and 12 inch diamonds) at 300 yards. The smaller the target, the more points it will be worth. Registration for all the above opens at midnight on the first. Dont drag your feet signing up or you could be stuck on the waitlist. We have a new gate code, contact me directly for it. Please do not give that code out to anyone, if they need it they can contact match staff. |

Another shooting filled weekend in Pueblo is in the books. Yesterday was precision rimfire with a mover side match. The mover was at about 80 yards, the targets are about 2 inch diameter and are moving about 3.5 MPH. Congrats to Daniel for winning both matches yesterday. Today we broke out the ARs and some other random rifles to include a bolt action in 300 Blackout. We added in some running and tough shooting. The new Hornady strobe lights paired up with the Magnetospeed flashers are working flawless. We had a lot of help setting up and tearing down this weekend. Your match staff could not **and** would not do it without people helping. Next months matches open on on 01 August. This months went off without a hitch. And the Rimfire Biathlon was enough of a hoot for us to officially do it again, March and Oct. The AK vs AR match was awesome as always. We took the 9:00 and 12:00 matches and combined them into one. Then we added up the team results to give away plaques to the top 3 teams. As an added bonus, Thunderbeast donated 3 free suppressor certificates to the match. Two went to the first place team and a third went to the first person to show up to help with setting up.
