You're not likely to find anybody willing to buy it until after the first of the year. Even an FFL/SOT has to pay the $200 tax for the Form 4 when buying from an individual. Given that the $200 tax is supposed to go away in 62 days, I doubt anybody is in such a rush to buy your rifle they'd fork over the $200 tax when they can just wait a couple months and save that much. |

| Was it initially a pistol that was Form 1'd into a rifle? If so, you can return it to Title 1 status by removing the stock and then notify the ATF via email/letter to remove it from the NFA...then sell it without having to do a transfer. |
