If I'm driving in Colorado, what long guns would be legal in my vehicle and where in the vehicle would be legal? Would an SKS pass muster considering magazine restrictions? |
| Anywhere in the car is fine. Don't worry about magazine laws, they're NOT enforceable here. About the only rule regarding long arms in a car is no round in the chamber (Hunting regulation). |

I'll add that if you want to be super safe, then don't bring any over 15 'rd mags that have a date stamp that's on or after July 1, 2013. Also, if you're traveling through the state, then you still should be good with whatever per FOPA. |

Colorado now has safe storage laws for vehicles. No round in the chamber, mag in is fine but if unoccupied, it must be locked in a hard or soft case that is out of view. No one cares about magazines https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb24-1348 |
