I have a few Cabela’s gift cards and credit card points and decided I want a Riger LC Carbine in 45ACP but when I try to add it to my cart on their site I get an error message saying I cannot get it at that location, I tried every Cabela’s/BPS location in MI and got the same message. At first I thought there just weren’t any in inventory but after a month+ I finally tried other states and I can get them there, so I think Cabela’s won’t ship any to Mi for some reason. Anyone have any idea as to what the situation is on these? Additional question, can I just pick one up in IN or TN next time I drive there? |

I haven't seen one of those, though I haven't been actively looking, either. As to your follow up question, it's tricky. It's not technically illegal, as long as what you're buying is legal in your state. However, many gun dealers are reluctant to deal with non residents, because they're not familiar with the laws of other states, so it's a safer practice to just not deal with them. Maybe call ahead and ask if you're considering that. |

| I ended up calling the main Cabela's CS number and was transferred to the Dundee store. They said last week they got an email from Corporate to send all them back to them because the barrel was too short to sell in Michigan. Both the guy I spoke with and I agreed that since the barrel is 16.25" the barrel being too short makes no sense. Just another WTF Cabela's situation. BPS is slowly ruining the Cabela's brand, but they're not much better. |

It appears to have a side-folding, collapsible stock. What is the OAL of the rifle when folded? Feds measure OAL with the stick deployed and fully extended. MI tends to measure in the shortest fireable configuration. That was cleaned up a few years ago with the changes to the “MI Pistol” configuration, but still a little messy. Not surprising if a corporation wants to take the conservative approach, in order to avoid liability. |

Ruger doesn't list the folded length so I'll need to contact them for that. |

(Their length written on the RI-60 is different then the length written on the Form 1). |
