Does anyone know of a gunsmith who can work on an old S&W 44 special hand ejector pistol near the Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA area? The pistol has a 6.5" barrel and the lanyard loop at the bottom of the grip. It needs to have cylinder and crane end shake taken care of, and I suspect it may also need a new longer hand and wider bolt installed as some times it doesn't lock up fully, and even when it does lock up there is side to side cylinder play when the bolt is engaged. My friend who owns the gun was told by cylinder and slide that they are about 18 months out for that kind of work. |
