Honestly, no gun shows are worth going to in MA. It’s a limited market that caters to a restricted state. Anything preban is either overpriced or not really preban and setting up unknowing buyers of a potential felony. The beef jerky is the only thing I’ve bought at the last 3-4 shows I’ve gone to and I haven’t been to another in at least 6 years now. Your friend would be better served by going to the Mill in Littleton unless he’s just looking for something to do for a few hours. |

Although they advertise 500 tables, they are lucky to get 200-250 tables and most of them are selling junk, not guns. $5 to park and somewhere between $13 and $15/pp entrance fee. Only one ammo vendor allowed. Either Big E or Springfield won't allow any ammo in the building, so the NY vendor is in a tent outside and has no competition, thus priced high. Not worth it, follow the advice of going to the Littleton Mill or other local gun shops instead. |

I will go against the trend a bit... It is better than some of the other MA shows in that it attracts some smaller FFLs and guys getting tables for personal stuff and guns. There will be a minimum of 4 decent sized gun dealers. Ammo was moved back indoors sometime during the last year so it should be again for this show. It will not be a 500 table show - hasn't been for years. Whether it is worth attending really depends on the subtleties ~ weather, drive time, etc. -VS- twenty years ago you would be crazy to miss it. If "gun show" makes you think $150 J-frames, $1 boxes of shotgun shells, and 12 for $50 GI AR mags you will be sorely disappointed. On the other hand if you want to brings such things for sale at those prices feel free, you will be very popular... Judging by the last show, if you must have some .22 LR or shotgun primers you will probably find either for 10 cents apiece. Do keep in mind that MA law restricts dealers from selling guns or ammo to nonresidents. |
