We prefer Marriott and Hilton property’s Might try out Durys Wife wants to hit a couple of museums and botanical gardens I’m not sure where those are at exactly Don’t mind driving 30 or so for the sights. Thx |

If you stay at the Drury in Oak Brook, you'll be in the west suburbs and near enough to both airports. Oak Brook is 20 minutes from the Morton Arboretum which is gorgeous this time of year. Cantigny is about 30 minutes and have pretty grounds and also the Big Red 1 Museum. 40ish minutes on a weekend morning to downtown for all of the big museums. Lots to eat near the area. There's a Morton's Steakhouse and tons of higher end dining options. I live 10 minutes from there and am very familiar with the area. There's nowhere worth staying on the south side or suburbs. North has a lot of options but if you stay in the west suburbs you'll have more access to anywhere you'd like to go via highway/tollway access if you're driving. |
