You don't need to stay at the campground. Original Post below What do you guys think about renting a pavilion in a park and having someone cater bbq? If we can get enough people, family included of course it shouldn't cost too much. Heres the thing though and I hate that this even needs to be said but no fucking free loaders, there always seems to be someone that shows up and expects to eat for free, and thats bullshit. I'd be willing to organize this if there is enough interest. July? August? I'm guessing we'll need to wait until July or August to make sure there's some warmth and no snow? Unless we're planning on watching Aimless slide around on snow and ice all day?

Its a matter of scheduling. We're way down on personnel at both of my agencies, so this will be the summer from hell where I'll be working or sleeping and not much else for a good chunk of the summer. With black out dates around Grassroots, Kendall Day and some of our other warm weather busy days where no leave time is authorized, it'll be " interesting' at my main agency. My PT place is losing a retiring chief, a promotion will short the road of one of their FT guys, and they're bleeding part timers who normally fill in around the RDOs of the agencies FT officers due to politics.
Let me know what day you pick and I'll see what I can do. With any luck it'll fall on my RDO and I wont take any OT that day. |
