I've heard very similar for several years now. ETA-The more I read the darker the potential story gets. His daughter's cause of death wasn't released, and there were rumors it was suicide. Maybe it's all true and she found out? It would be one hell of a trigger. |

In no way am I defending Pusser, but he sounds like a great many county sheriffs that ended up being on the take and corrupt here in TN. Whoever spun his story and got Hollywood to buy into it and make a hero of him sure sold what appears to be a whopper of a lie. |
