After living in Sarasota County for just about 24 years, we're moving to Lakeland.
Wife found a great job there and she's been working remotely and commuting since January, but the time has come to move.

Already secured a job at the Lakeland airport, and are renting a house in Kathleen, so we can move out and sell our Sarasota County house after I finish my current work end of June.

Tell me about gun shops, ranges please! Restaurants and other cool spots?

I plan on joining the Lakeland rifle and pistol club, finally.

And @JJRockBush has been contacted

I avoid Lakeland because I despise crowds and traffic.  Lakeland has both.

Thanks, and will do.

We already had breakfast at Fat Jack's. Nothing had changed since you, JJ and myself went there in '06-'07

Combee road after dark can be, how you say, interesting...

What will you be doing at the airport?

Nothing else to add.  Congratulations on the move!

Spend a week each year there working ATC for Sun n Fun.  Seems like a nice place. Downtown has some neat hangouts.

Welcome to Lakeland MW

I moved to the area in 1974. I have seen many changes for sure. I am partial to the South side
of town. We lived in the Hallam RD area for over 20 years. Most lots are 1/3 to 1/2 acre. House
style varies greatly. It is quiet but you can drive to businesses in minutes and is not far from the
airport. They should be done with the Pipkin rd project soon.

Didn't realize you were up this way.
We're renting a house in Kathleen for a year or so, once the house in Venice sells, we're going to start looking here for something to buy.
So far we like it, definitely busier and younger than sleepy ole' Venice

Check any prospective property after heavy rains for flood issues and make sure your choice is not built
on reclaimed phosphate land.
