Academy at the Parks Mall in South Arlington. Plenty of the Monarch both steel and brass (5.99 & 9.99). Bunches of Hornaday .223 in 55gr Sp and 55 fmj bt in 50ct boxes for $29.99 Remington 55gr varmint loads for $19.99/20, Winchester varmint was a little higher.
They had some Magtech 38 spec +p for $22, no 357, some 45acp but I didn't get a price for that. |

Wal Mart on Walnut Creek/287 in Mansfield had 50 round boxes of Blazer 9MM & 100 round boxes of Winchester 9MM.
They also had Blazer 40 S&W & 100 round bulk packs of Federal 223. No 45 ACP or bulk pack 22 LR was available. This was instock as of 10 AM this morning (sat) |

Bass pro in Grapevine has a shit-ton of Golden saber 45 acp, 9mm 119 gr and 9mm +p (all golden saber) ... about $27 per box of each but the +p is $34 ... I was looking for some bargain defense ammo, unfortunately this is all I could find.
Then I went over to Academy in Grapevine to pick up the last 4 boxes of 9mm Blazer CCI ... yes I was raped at 11.99 per box  ... sometime last year around fall they were 7.99 per box.. amazing .. But it does seem that this academy and in plano they have plenty of .223 , mostly monarch brass and steel.

Walmart at the intersection of Hwy 79 and Red Bud in Round Rock, as of midnight had:
7 boxes of Federal .22 - $14.47 per 325 round box 8 boxes of Remington .308 150gr - $17.97 per 20 round box 11 boxes of Federal .223 55gr FMJ - $17.97 per 100 round box 2 boxes of Blazer .40S&W 180gr FMJ - $12.97 per 50 round box I checked with the manager and they sell 24/7, but finding the key to the ammo case seems to be a problem for them. 6 box limit total per customer |

Gander Mountain in Houston on 290 has a huge selection of ammo, but it is all marked up about 25% from normal gun shop retail. I sucked it up because it is the only place I've seen any self defense ammo in a long while on the shelf. 5.56, .223, 9mm, .40, .44 mag, .45 ACP and GAP, .357, .38 spl, and a ton of other rifle ammo. They also had a Saiga 12 in the display cases for ~$690 or something. If you are desperate for ammo, have at it. ETA: obviously no .380. |

Walmart in Wylie off 78... 8 boxes of Federal 9mm champion last night ... my gf and I picked up 4 boxes (2 each max)... there were a few boxes left.
*edit* and it appeared as though they had 5 or more boxes of .40 s&w behind the counter. Its was difficult to say exactly how many because they were stacked behind each other..This is one of those walmarts where they have the ammo below the counter - not in one of those tall glass cabinets outside the register area.. So call up there before you make the trip out there to be sure. |

Academy in Mckinney has quite a bit (more than 50 boxes) of Monarch in 5.56 for 5.99 a box of 20 and about 20 boxes of remington .223 for 15.00
sports authority in Mckinney had the same box of remington .223 for 12.99 - they maybe had 10 boxes I found these on tue. night - and being new here didn't know about this thread till now. |

Wal-Mart @ 1604/Nacogdoches Guy was unboxing a case of Federal 9mm, case of Federal 40, and 1 case of Federal I couldn't identify. Sorry, couldn't see prices as the employee was blocking the display, but should be usual WM prices |

I sold my .45 and have ONE box of Blazer Brass .45 target ammo left over.
Im in the Plano area for anybody who wants it. I'll trade for two boxes of FMJ 9mm (of respectable manufacture, no reloads) or one box of defense HP 9mm ammo. Or maybe some .223 ammo if you have that. Just PM or Email me if youre interested. Id like to stay local, but Im happy to meet someone in or around Plano, I know someone needs this ammo more than me. |
| Academy on 410- Vance jackson in San Antonio had tons of 9, 40, 38spc , 357 ,44 enough .223 to liberate liberia (crap up to xm193). Oh yeah they still have 500 rounds of .380 left on the shelves. Yes, .380 you read that right. I only took 2 boxes. |
