It's been a blast meeting new people from the forums over the last 12 years. Shoot invites, Tuesday nights, gun rallies, etc. As of next month, I'll be moving overseas. Most likely for good.

Bladeswitcher, 67Firebird, Giltweasel, and others. I had a great time meeting you all. Giltweasel, I hope your sons continue to be outstanding members of society.

A lot of injuries/issues/surgeries. My body hates cold now. I tried to deal with it last winter, but it wasn't working. I need someplace warm 24/7/365.  I'm doing the move for other reasons as well, but that's the gist of it.

As to where I'm going, somewhere around here:

Tuesday nights were a blast. Plenty of great times. The exploding cement from way back when. The firepit shot up about 4-6 feet in the air, from being so cold out and the rapid heating of the cement.

Closed on the home Monday, in the ER on Tuesday. It's been an interesting week for sure. I'm doing okay now. Carvana comes and buys my truck on Monday. Practically giving me what I paid for it. We will see if it's a smooth transaction or not. Less than two weeks until I fly out.

Thanks!  Knock on wood, as I don't want my flight plans canceled or lose money on my hotel booking. My health is my first priority. I just turned 50 and my body is just saying eff it. Small, simple things, are just wrecking me. I carried a few light bags of groceries for my sister this afternoon and it feels like someone gut punched me, then stomped on my back.

Carvana was stupid easy to deal with. All in all, a five minute transaction and more beer money in my bank account.

No complaints with them, but to add, my truck was paid off and neatly kept. The guy who came and picked it up was talking about a 2007 prius, full of cathair, that he recently transported. He thanked me for making his job super easy.

I know I wouldn't have gotten nowhere near what Carvana offered me, from Rusty Drewing.

Good luck with the move. I worked with a bunch of expats that moved over there.

Did you sell all your guns or store some w/ friends or family?

Thanks! Everything has been sold. I'm only taking 1 checked bag, 1 carry on, and my laptop bag. Everything else has been sold or given to family.

Most definitely. I just have my health to contend with. I fly out 1 week from today. Everything is taken care of for my arrival, except getting a new sim card for my phone, but they have those at the airport.

Stay clear of them ladyboys.

Unless, you don't want to. In that case, let your freak flag fly.

I'll still post. Not sure how frequently though. First few weeks will be me scoping everything out, then starting my retirement visa process. Will definitely post some pics as well.

EDIT: If I stop posting all together, then you know something is wrong.

You might look into getting dual citizenship. With Thai citizenship comes the ability to own a firearm.

$47 for a double of McCallan 12 year and toasted ravioli at St.Louis airport. Can't pay in cash. I hate heights, so I needed something to take the edge off.

Thanks! 12 year scotch. It's pretty good. In Chicago on a 2.5 hour layover, then off to Japan.

Thanks! I appreciate it. Will take some time getting used to it over here, but I'm learning fast. Meeting another Arfcommer for beers this afternoon. He's the one who's been helping me out with all my questions.
