Despite being ruled governed by a leftist POS, Kansas is very relaxed on firearm laws. No CCW permit is required for citizens over 21, and we recognize damn near all out of state permits. No NFA bans that I'm aware of, and no magazine bans either.
You don't need a Concealed Carry license in Kansas to carry but it does help when you travel to other states. It also helps when purchasing a firearm in Kansas. Just present that and you DL and you are generally good to go after the paperwork of course. I know some of the guys on the now defunct KSCCW.com website would say they would sell their guns to KSCCW people only that way they knew the person had passed a background check. So it does come in handy sometime.
