It is the best show in Alabama that I have found.

Nice show.  I'm taking a biscuit break.

ETA: looked at everything in the show, I'm exhausted.

Anybody score anything cool at the show?

I picked up a CVA replica Remington 1858 in .44 for $170

Good for you.

Everything I was interested in was way overpriced. I don't mind haggling some, but I saw others being turned down, offering more than I would've on a few items, so I didn't waste mine or the seller's time. I'm frugal in a lot of ways, but I'll pay a decent price for a decent item.

I ended up only paying admission and getting a good walk in.

I got another M1917 rifle.

They were all going for about $1200, but one guy had two for $600 each.  I couldnt help myself.

I know the table you were looking at. Which one did you get? The parked WW2 rebuild, or the import-marked one with the red stock bands?

I fondled both of them myself, and might have bought the parked rebuild if it had had an Eddystone barrel. The other needed a good detail cleaning IMHO.

The rebuild. The stock was nicer and it had at least a 12-18 barrel even if the gun was a June gun. I have another with a correct barrel, but this one will be a good shooter for less than some of the bubba'ed ones were going for.   The red band Lend Lease gun was pretty neat too.

Like I needed another rifle.

There was a cleaning kit in the buttstock of the rebuild rifle if you didn't already know. At least it was there when I looked at it.

A M1917 rifle is a "back burner" on my "bucket list", but I'll certainly entertain one for the right price. I was debating with myself on whether to go back on Sunday for a re-look at both. Oh well.

Congrats on your acquisition.

Man, you need one. They are great shooting rifles. I really prefer it over the M1903A3, but I kinda dont mind longer and heavier rifles
