Planning a trip with the wife for our 25th anniversary so she can see the northern lights. Expect to be there the week of Thanksgiving. We've been to Alaska (Anchorage, Fairbanks, Valdez, and everywhere in between) several times in the summer but never this late in the year. Expect to only stay for 4 or 5 nights, will get an AirBnB and rent a AWD SUV. Also looking into booking one or two of the the guided northern lights tours. What kind of weather should we expect? Any recommendations or tips would be appreciated. TIA |
