Hey guys, came home at lunch to water in my basement today. Had about 1/4" - 1/2" in about 1/2 of it, other half remained dry. Split level house, so basement is living space.

House was built in '68, no sump pump. I'd guess that's what I'd need, as the water is coming in from between the floor and the walls. I've lived here since '16 and this hasn't happened in that entire time (at least not that I noticed) until last Thursday and again today.

What if the basement floor doesn't have drain tile under it? Usless?

Anyway, if any of you have dealt with this and have a waterproofing contractor you'd recommend, I'd appreciate it.

I have a driveway slab that has fairly recently cracked and somewhat sunk, that I believe is contributing to the problem. I'm having that addressed as well.
