MOUNTAIN CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A Florida real estate group recently purchased nearly 5,300 acres of rugged land just east of Mountain City and hopes — long term — to “enhanc(e) community wellness, economic prosperity and cultural richness” in the rural community.

The article says one thing and they mentioned a mini Gatlinburg area...who knows already talking rezoning and stuff...fuck, I wish we had gates into our county 5 years ago...

Similarly, the Old Spaghetti Factory building in Nashville, where the Christmas 2020 bombing occurred, is about to be turned into short-term rentals.

Yeah, Nashville has long been a tourist destination, but it's a lot different now than it was not that long ago and it's only going to get worse.

Even Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville seemed worse when I was there in June than they have in the past, and that's saying something.

And only going to get worse.

It’s only a matter of time until the Cherokee’s build a casino on the property they bought at exit 407.
