What are the odds that they'll do something favorable? I've been suggesting for years that they oprn youth/disabled deer season to adults hunting on an apprentice license. They're at the same disadvantage as kids in terms of experience, let's give them the same help we give the kids. |

Not sure what the DNR is up to but it's the usual shenanigans with legislators. A couple of bills (I think still in committee) are coming up this session. One would allocate non-resident tags to outfitters. (the same bill was shot down last year) Another would allow ATV's on public land for the purposes of game recovery. |

I'll probably hang on, if for no other reason the social aspects, but it's getting tiresome. And I'm getting old. I was feeling my 69 years last season. Bird hunting is no better. I pretty much stick to the preserves anymore (I like Bensink's). I think I've hunted wild birds once in the last five years. Haven't been turkey hunting in four. |

I took my youngest last year for youth he had some opportunities missed a nice one at 7' I'm going to get us both tags this season. On the deer hunting down here it's all the big shot TV deer hunters and out of staters ruining it I know people that gave up cause all the ground they had got bought or leased up |
