Looking for someone that can laser engrave, CNC engrave, stamp, or whatever a couple of barrels and silencer tube that I’m going to do a Form 1 on. Preferably somewhere close to NE Ohio (or W. PA) and preferrably somewhere I can wait around while it’s done. I was considering getting some fine-print vinyl stickers with the info and “electro etching” the info … but I don’t know how much text worthy fine detail you can get from a cobbled together home etch setup and don’t want to risk $$ barrels or a Stainless tube I spent hours machining. And it’s my understanding that at least for the SBR and SBS I just have to add the name and location info from the Form 1 to the short barrels themselves - the caliber, make, and model are already stamped on the receivers from the factory. |

I was under the impression that your information,(first initial, last name, town and abbreviation for the State) had to be added to the receiver, not the barrel on an SBR? When I SBR'd one of my ARs, the information was laser engraved on the front of the magwell, and I then went over it with Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black Metal Finish. Budde Sheet Metal Works, Inc in Dayton did the engraving for me, and I watched as it was taken care of. They've done a few things for me and are super cool and extremely gun friendly, but may be too far for you to travel.. |

I always thought the information needed added to either the barrel OR the receiver for converting a factory long gun to an SBR/SBS…. As long as all the information is on the gun in when it’s in the NFA configuration. It’s a 10/22, not an AR in my case. But that shouldn’t matter. |
