600-1000 meter range would be nice.

The amount of land that would be required to build a range that size is probably worth way more in today's market than could be justified in building a range that size. It would be nice, but I don't see it happening. Maybe it could happen in Missouri or Oklahoma just over the border, but I can't see it happening around NWA.

Ft. Chaffee and Camp Robinson military reservations are the only longish ranges I know of in Arkansas.
Most places are constrained by geography and land availability.
NW Arkansas has a premium price for available land due to population boom.
I don't expect to see any long ranges open up anytime soon. ROI would just suck for getting that operating.

It is a shame the Walton clan are not into shooting sports.

That 2700 acres the grandsons just bought would work.

Good to know.
But I can't see that far anymore.
My backyard range goes to 250yds and I can barely see to hit that.

Yes.  Benton is 600 yards.  Yearly membership is $200 (membership and one time maintenance fee) for the first year and $100 for each year after that.

Isn't Benton Gun Club down by Little Rock (NOT Benton County)?
How does that help NWA?
IMO Reasonable = $0

Arkansas is full of name surprises:
Benton is in Saline County, not Benton County.
Conway is in Faulkner Cty, not Conway Cty.
Searcy is likewise not in Searcy Cty.
It's like this was a plan to confuse people from elsewhere.

I think the geography up here makes it tough.

I have a few acres and the most I can squeeze out is a 325yd shot due to all the hills and valleys.
