I am still in awe of the amount of give-aways done by LaRue. That Mark gives, GIVES, a Stealth Upper away FREE every month to one of us goofballs still has me shake my head and smile every time I post a number in the contest thread. The only REAL requirement is that you support the site, as he does, by being a Team Member. I am truly thankful for Mark's generosity. Also, I am very thankful to MND for his work on the Monthly Contest Report.
I've read the rules and I'm pretty sure there is NOTHING that bars the use of a number that has already been chosen. If it really bothers you then wait until the very last day to pick a number, check the report and find an open box to chose. Just, please, stop complaining that someone also has a tie to the same number in a contest for something for free.

One of the reasons why Mark LaRue is one of the coolest people ever, and definitely one of my favorite people in the industry. Hell, the guy sent me a free 'dillo at Christmas time with a card even though I hadn't previously ordered a single item from him. How awesome is that? From now on, if LaRue makes it, I'm gonna buy it from them. |

You are absolutely right about the contest and Mark .. it makes for a great first of the month just to be able to dream that upper could be inside me safe.  About the second part .. well if we didn't have something to bitch about what would we do with ourselves. It's sorta part of the whole experience of playing the game .. or at least it has been for as long as I have been playing. People probably were kicking my screen name around here when I first started playing and duping people. If I'm not in the mood for the duping discussion this month I just don't read this thread .. I'll post my thanks to Mark and mnd and leave. Besides ... nobody pays any attention to what we are bitching about anyway.

Data for last whole page only. Update checks every 10 minutes. Last update: Sat Feb 6 12:49:57 EST 2010 Last page: 68 Sure wouldn't bother me if I was duped and didn't win. The report is only updated every 10 minutes. It would have to be updated in REAL TIME to be current. And the time from "Submit" to being posted in the contest thread would still allow dupes to happen. |
