Out of all those US Battleships above with 12" guns only one (USS Utah) was sunk by enemy action. However the two Mississippians were decommissioned 30 July 1914 and sold to Greece. Kilkis (ex-Mississippi) and Limnos (ex-Idaho) sunk by German bombers in April 1941.

Off those 65ish battleships (USS Texas and BB1-BB64) in US service only three were sunk due to enemy action, all from action at Pearl Harbor (Utah, Arizona and Oklahoma). Then there's the two Ex US that the Germans sunk in Greek service.
