I got the gun put together with the 8.5" barrel but noticed the case is unsupported more than my other barrels after shooting it a bit. I also received a 10.5" barrel today. Both barrels are like this. I only have a QC10 and a BA barrels for comparison. It also seems that when I drop a round (factory or reload) it sticks in the chamber. I would say no, that is not normal but I don't now exact specifications of function for that weapon. The absence of a fully supported chamber seems bad for any weapon. Without a fully supported chamber definitely wear eye pro and gloves. I see an AR style charging handle and bolt cutouts minus M-4 feedramps. What is it? |

Happily I always wear eye protection when shooting. This is the build: CMT dedicated 9mm upper BCM MOD4B charging handle CMMG bolt MI Combat Rail Macon 8.5" barrel Aero lower Hahn Dedicated block Spike's 9mm Buffer Standard carbine spring Stag LPK KNS pins ETA: The other odd thing is that the first round of every mag seemed much softer than the rest. I tested it against my other 9mm rifle with the QC10 barrel and that didn't happen. I also used this guns lower on the QC10 upper and it didn't happen. |

| Send an email to the barrel manufacturer and ask them if this is to spec. Show them all pics especially the bulging blownout case and I'm sure they will send you a new barrel or fix yours. Good luck. Report back if you do. Take care. |

| Damn, good problem solving. You seem to have narrowed down and found your problem. Worse things have happened to gun owners from a kaboom. Thankfully your fine, the gun is fine, and the barrel is fine for inspection not split. How is your bolt? |

Yeah I'm happy that nothing bad happened as well. Surprisingly nothing appears to have happened to the lower, bolt, magazine, Hahn block, or anything else. I looked everything over multiple times to make sure. I'm more annoyed that I didn't notice it before but I just didn't notice that the bolt wasn't going completely forward beforehand. |

I have never checked either. Not sure why but if everything looks good and passes a function test and an ammo cycling test I'll take it to the range. Aside from disassembling a brand new firearm to properly clean, adjust, straighten, tighten, oil and loctite. I've never checked the throat for seating issues just obstructions or visible machining issues. After your post from here out I will. I just checked my Stribog earlier before commenting on your post. I'm sure the manufacturer will have your back. Take care. |

I'll be checking from now on too. I figured out the way the brass was in the bolt when the OOB occurred due to an extractor mark from when the round was extracted (it did it on its own). I'm guessing this is why the bolt didn't get damaged. Attached File |

Thanks for update. No doubt Rudy is a great guy. I had him fix a barrel from another manufacturer several years ago before he had his own line. I still have the smile on my face of him letting me shoot one of his AR45's.  Bought several items from him.

This is handled........while I was able to hone the OP's barrels and they run fine....I made a clamp collar for a new reamer and have been running a brand new reamer in the chamber on the lathe and simply chasing them. Chambers are looking awesome and 147's are NOT an issue

Thanks for everything Rudy! It's back together and I can't wait to try it out. Your buffer looks very nice as well and I'll be using it and ditching my other buffer as the bumper is a soft rubbery material it appears and was deforming already. I'll update this once I get a chance to shoot it but I'm not worried. I'm getting pretty quick at assembling 9mm uppers
