I'm fully expecting this year's Christmas mailing to come with a gorgeous dillo, and a very subtle reference to a centennial tribute.
My suggestion for the 'low end' LaRue 1911 would be something with an GI frame, undercut frontstrap, 5" barrel, and hand-tight bushing setup with basic Novak sights. - anybody agree with me on this? The high end units will be showstoppers, I'd be thrilled to see if the Dawson Precision influence on those is evident, as with the OP you showed off. I think the demand for these will be such that you guys will be relying on vendor parts - not that I'd be at all unhappy if these ended up being built off Caspian Frames, or using Cylinder&Slide, EGW, or Ed Brown small parts - that would be a good thing. As depressed as I am that next year is going to be the year of craptastic tribute 1911's, THIS is the one that I'd unflinchingly write a blank check for. Keep cranking out the good stuff, but definitely be working on a way to manage the tidal wave of interest this is going to generate. |

I'd love to own such a great gun! Is there any plans to build it? At least a "limited production run" of some sort? Would there be options.... ie caliber, slide/barrel length, etc.? Price?
I know that many would love to own one, whats holding you back from selling them? |
