Yeah, crazy number of orders.
1st - 7/3 @ 3:10PM (MDT) - shipped and was supposed to arrive tomorrow, then today, now Friday. NW MT is amazing except for packages delivering in a timely manner. 2nd - 7/3 @ 3:19PM - order number is 35 behind the first. Shipped and was supposed to arrive tomorrow, then today, and now tomorrow. This order was scanned in as picker up an hour earlier than the first. Apparently it is making it across the country a day faster. 3rd - 7/3 @ 11:39PM - order number is 3,759 behind the first. Don't expect it to ship for a couple of weeks. I really want this order as it has 2 rails I will pick from to cut an FSB pocket into for my 11.5" AR... 4th - 7/8 @ 1:33PM - order number is 9,944 behind the first. I expect this to hit the upper end of the 4-6 week estimate. |

I'm guessing it's a clamp or set screw FSB? I'm not entirely sure how you'd support it while getting a punch through a slot.

I don't touch the face. https://i.imgur.com/Zw4HcEf.jpg https://i.imgur.com/djpqOj2.jpg With this cut, I made the 2 vertical cuts with my miter saw, then made 2 cuts with my angle grinder to get the piece out. I made these a little high as the grinder limited my view and the best angle I could get the rail in the vise wasn't ideal. I then used my dremel with a cut wheel to even the nubs. I nicked the left side face as you can see below. I then used a sanding drum on the dremel to try and even things out. I rushed it a bit and rounded a corner or two a little much. I normally don't paint or finish the cuts, but I am going to try to on this one to help it blend better. Rail covers will also hide most everything. I had green sharpie on it and it helped, but the color is too different for me. I will have to open windows in the rail (red circles) below in order to get pins in the FSB, which still needs to be drilled and reamed. https://i.imgur.com/X3P86al.jpg https://i.imgur.com/kEDV4VG.jpg https://i.imgur.com/9YCv265.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5CjOt2c.jpg https://i.imgur.com/TyXsS8P.jpg View Quote |

@GACS
I saw some rail descriptions during the sale mentioned 6000-series aluminum, but the specs referenced 7000-series aluminum. I'm guessing that all of the blemished rails are indeed 7000-series due to the material change happening a few years ago, and the descriptions were just old? I have a bunch of rails on the way, so asking more out of curiosity than complaining. |

Any lowers go out yet?

Some of the BLEM pages are old and resurrected during a sale when needed. We will talk to our web team about updating them, and our apologies for any confusion! |

@GACS
Is it common for blem rails not to have any markings on them? The count is on the bottom of the rail but no “Geissele “ or model number on the sides like my other rails. |

Sometimes the lack of markings or improper/markings are the reason an item may be "Blemished." Since all Blems are cosmetic in nature you may see different count logos on different parts or even a lack thereof. |

She called and was told they were waiting on the serial # of the rifle they were going to send and maybe it would be next week, if not maybe 2 weeks. Not sure why lowers are easier to ship than a rifle, but if you are waiting on a rifle it could be a while longer for some reason. |

My HK416 Mk15 handguard arrived today. Only sorta blem I could really see was maybe the white paint for the T-marks got oversprayed a bit. The tiny little Count Blemula engraving on the bottom is pretty cool. Got a “have Bill call me” bumper sticker too. I love that you guys embraced that mess!
Anyway, super happy with it. Great deal, awesome handguard. I’ve definitely become a believer in the Geissele way. ETA - My BRN-4 build with it installed: Attached File |

I have to assume my "blem" is the color or something, because it looks perfect. I also love the color, and it's gonna go great with a blem upper and charging handle that are black and green. 😁

Maybe a dumb question, but did the Mk4 go back to tabs instead of set screws for anti rotation? I received a 15” Mk4 from the blem sale and it has tabs which I didn’t think was a thing anymore.
