The main differences will be the outside profiles , number of M Lok slots and the other features like QD sockets and weight.All the details are listed by each model on the website. thanks Troy MI |

They look to have the same dimensions and mounting system as well. Thanks! |

They look alike have same internal/external dimensions and weigh about the same The only difference i can tell is the G4M has more QD sockets |

The Combat does not have front QD sling sockets so that accessories can be run all the way forward. The G4 has QD sockets on the front like the G3 did which allows you to sling up should you prefer that set up. Thanks, PETE |

G2 with timed barrel nut, rail with tabs that lock into barrel nut teeth, screw clamped with adhesive with full helicoils. No additional antirotation feature besides gas tube. G3 with non timed barrel nut, uses metal bracket hardware for antirotation & anti forward movement, screw clamped with adhesive with full helicoils Combat Rail lightweight model with non timed barrel nut, antirotation tabs built into rail, metal hardware tab to prevent forward movement, screw clamp without adhesive and with full helicoils. Combat Rail Ultralightweight as Lightweight model but with Ti barrel nut & Ti hardware and partial helicoils. |

I have a G2K with bent pins/tabs (bent during installation) and i want to swap it for the G3KL (that i also have on a different carbine.) |

It might have happened with overtorqueing the screws, and I always like to use a gas tube gauge when checking barrel nut alignment -- wiggle back and worth, left to right, to inspect symmetric degrees of deflection. The Wheeler Fat torque wrench is gods gift for the clamp screws. |
