I just ran into this issue last Wednesday trying to install a set of MOE rifle length handguards on a Colt 20" A4 barrel. After I decided that they just weren't going to go on, I pressed the handguard halves together (just by themselves) and grabbed a spare Colt triangle end cap just to see if it would fit trying to place it over the front where it's supposed to interface with the handguards and there was just no way, it was too tight to fit. I contacted customer support and sent pictures but they said it all looked good and should work with the triangle end caps. I've never had an issue in fitting the MOE handguards to the round end caps, but I'm not going to change out the end caps on my 20" barrels just to get these handguards to fit when they are supposed to fit the triangle caps. So I just went with a trusty set of Colt/Windham Weaponry A2 handguards and of course I had no issues installing those.  Edit: I'm not talking about the SL handguards, but everybody knows that the SLs don't fit on anything anyways.
