You can mark a line on a cleaning rod, push it down the barrel and see how long it takes that line to twist around to the same place then measure the length on the rod that it took to twist around to the same place and boom! twist rate... I'm sure you already know that though.  I'm asking for one of the Armalites for my birthday in a few weeks.
