Have a less then year old Banshee 300 9mm pistol I'm having ejection issues with. Glock mag system. It will extract the fired round but leave it laying in the action and try to feed it along with the next loaded round. Makes for some interesting malfunction clearing drills. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing any issues like this? Found some old posts that some were having this issue at less than 1000 rounds due to ejector spring failure on early models but nothing recent. Seems CMMG was replacing springs with a heavier one and I didn't find any follow up posts. Mine gets run pretty hard; at least weekly and well over 1000 rounds now. Except for break in (and the first few sessions were an exercise in frustration) it ran pretty well for quite some time. CMMG was very quick to answer me and says a couple new springs are on the way. Can't complain about response time. Thought I would provide an update on my Banshee ejection problems. Received the ejector springs and got one installed on Thursday. It actually made it worse! My shooting partner has the exact same model just a bit newer. Dropped his bolt/carrier, then just bolt in mine and it ran perfectly. Only thing left was the extractor though it seemed fine. Installed a neoprene o-ring "extractor spring enhancer" and the problem is fixed. Apparently I had blamed the wrong spring and the extractor spring was the issue the whole time. |

@Guitargod1985 I actually bought a few of them off the EE a while back. Can't remember from who. Once I was sure it worked I ordered this kit off Brownells' BCM Extractor Upgrade Kit CMMG was great about sending me springs also, though they normally took a couple weeks each time. . Edit to add- Ran the Banshee this evening in a Steel Match. Multiple magazines flawlessly. |
