I know there is another photo thread titled "BAD ASS photos", but that seems to focus on the BAD ASS safety.
I'd like to make a pic thread that focuses on full builds using mostly BAD parts, or at least more than a safety, so the stipulation for posting the photo is that it contains at least 3 parts made by BAD or a BAD receiver. I'm in the process of building mine right now and the purpose of this thread is to inspire others builds and my own. Feel free to add any relevant information or suggestions and recommendations of certain BAD products that you like for other builders! Since mine isn't done, here is a pic of the first rifle I ever built (also wearing the first BAD product I ever bought). I'll update it when my BAD build is done.  " />

It's extremely lightweight and helps balance the rifle a bit because with a suppressor, it will be front heavy. The other aspects are that the length is just perfect for BAD's 10.5" barrel with Griffin's taper mount brake and their Recce 5, and the lines of the rail matches up well with BAD's LW upper receiver. The only worry I have is that it may not be durable in a fight. But I'm not an operator, and this gun is for SD at home and fun range time, so I'm not all that worried about it. You'll like this rail. It installs super easy and feels great with a support hand C clamp grip. |

Just like yourself I plan on using this rifle for range time and to impress the ladies, and of course for self defense if I needed it. I have plenty of shit hits the fan, apocalypse rifles that are more than combat ready. I went with this because I love the looks and because it matches with the battle arms receiver set (that I just ordered tonight). I've also gotten spoiled with the geissele rails and how easy they are to install, the fact that this rail doesn't require indexing of the barrel nut, like the geissele rails, was also a major deciding factor. Lastly I do shoot with a C clamp grip so once I slap a couple rail scales and hand stop on this bad boy I expect it's going to be at the top of my list of fav. hand guards. |
