I have that one. It' looks almost like the 10.3" has the M5 handguard, but without the M5 upper receiver. I can't find it in any Colt marketing. Unfortunately, you can't assume anything when it comes to AU. LE6945 is an actual firearm that came from the Colt factory complete. The one that I just received from AU was assembled after it left the factory. So, it could be a legitimate factory item but that won't preclude AU from putting them together. One thing that's really odd is when you search "Colt CQC" on youtube, you get nothing except airsoft versions. You'd think that there would be one video showing the rifle. |
I emailed AU and they actually replied this time.  The person who responded was kind enough to send a picture of the box label. Their website description of it as an Enhanced Patrol Rifle doesn't match the box description of it as a Tactical Patrol Rifle. This has to be a fairly recent addition. I know for sure that it wasn't there when AU added their 10.3" railed LE6930 upper. At the time, I searched LE6930 on their website and google as well. This didn't come up on their website or the internet search. They're showing 64 in stock, so they're well invested. You'd think it would have been promoted somewhere. It's interesting that it has a LE model number, but the serial number starts with CR. I'll buy one and post pictures when it arrives. |

Just so you know blocking out the serial # is not too effective when the QR code can still be scanned with iPhone. |

As a side note, the CR models are being discontinued and replaced with LE again. CR serial number prefixes will still be seen for a while due to already being approved for use. |
