I saw a “Retro” Daniel in a gun shop the other day with an Omega 9 rail, car stock and a mid length 14.5 inch barrel. Kind of curious as to where the design came from? Finestkind |

Finestkind An Omega X 9.0 rail and mid-length gas system would normally mean that the gun is an M4V3 (now discontinued), except that the M4V3 had a 16" barrel, not a 14.5" (plus, when it was made, P/Wed flash hiders on 14.5" barrels were still uncommon). Most likely, the gun you saw is a custom weapon that was assembled by DD for a previous owner, back in the days when DD still had the "Build My AR" feature on its web site. The fact that it had a CAR stock (which DD never offered - Magpul MOE was the standard up until they introduced their proprietary stock design) also reinforces this theory. |

I have a DD Omega from back in the day that i put on an upper with a 16” Rock Creek 5R middy barrelled upper using a DD upper receiver. It was as a group buy that was put together by a member here.
