I have an M4a1 rail, and 2 Mk18 rails, and was picking the best condition ones for my builds. The m4a1 and one of the Mk18 rails have red tinted/dyed helicoils, and the other Mk18 rail does not. The one that doesn't have red inserts has the older, lighter brown color that matches the m4a1 rail (as opposed to the dark chocolate brown of my other mk18 rail); it's in slightly better condition so was going to use it, but the lack of red tinting (which i believe i've had on all the various rails ive had over the years), prompted me to wonder if this is a really good knock off, or just a slight production variance? Can provide pics if necessary, all of the markings look legit, but I know the fakes/knock-offs have gotten pretty good. Thanks |
