I'm a fan of the Alice/Malice pack style. What level of personal sacrifice and/or devotion would be reauired to have a custom Alice/Malice Medium made in M81 woodland? I have 2 Larges, a Medium, and one Thai "Medium" Alice pack setup already but I want a custom setup that takes the best features and puts it into one package so I can give away all these other packs to people who need them. Maybe. If I like them.
Open to total denigration and verbal assault since I know this is stupid. |

I'll post some pics tomorrow. I prefer a modified LC1/2 Alice medium but by the time you modify it and add pouches to the outside you're basically to the point where a purpose made pack with all those.mods native to the design would be better. Those custom pouches you made me are on my medium and my large I use most often. |

This one needs some tweaks to be damn near perfect. I want a pack the same size as the Alice Large but differently set up, more like an Alice Medium. My idea is this: 1. Without the three pouches on the front for magazines, replaced by laser cut web panel like you are using on everything now. I want the panel to go edge to edge on the pack so I can run between 3 and 5 various sizes of pouches as needed all the way around the front and sides of the main body. 2. I want the lid to have the same material, laser cut web panel, or two large GPs. I'm flexible on that because I think that's most likely what I would run anyway. I don't need the lid to have an internal pouch like the original. They wear out anyway. 3. Able to use the Molle 2 large external frame like I'm already doing. I've had to modify the Molle 2 frame by cutting the rounded areas at the top and sanding/contouring to keep from chafing the pack, but would prefer to avoid this in the future. The frames are comfortable and plentiful and allow me to use any standard waist belt from Alice LC-1 all the way up to the modern waist belts. 4. Keep the 3 large lower front pockets as is in size and drain holes. 5. Replace all buckle hardware with plastic QDs or be set up to do so with standard materials. I've already modified all my packs with these anyway and they're great. 6. I want it in M81 because of course I do.
