I have a RH35 I bought when its msrp was dropped. Its awesome. I use it more for scanning since I am not hunting right now. Its 2x so it gets a little hard to use for close up stuff. I can see the drywall screws and the studs in my house on hot days. The RH25 would suit my current use better. Thermal is incredible. |

Just wanted to add, FWIW. These L3 Unfilmed tubes from JRH are amazing. I took it out last night, and I have to admit, this is the best tube I've ever looked through. They are 20um tubes but spec out more like 22um. Very high specs. Very clean tubes. Just a little bit of "peppering" (less than .003") which can be seen "on the bathroom wall" but when looking at an outdoor scene are invisible. I understand this is very common in these high spec tubes. To get this kind of performance, without any "peppering", guys usually wait for several months. And pay out the wazoo. So I am truly over the moon here. Very high performance, at a very good price. And in stock. I am simply blown away by how good they perform. I compared them to older (2007-ish) NEPVS14-17, which is an older ITT "Pinnacle" GP tube. I'm guessing about 1800 FOM. Very clean tube, Carson glass. Now I have been using this since it was brand new, and it has always served me well. But you don't know what you don't know. The L3 Unfilmed just blew it away. Especially in real low light. I also drug out the NVD-BNVD-SG's, with Elbit WP Mid-Grade (SLH) tubes, with the light-weight glass. These are in the 2200 FOM range. And nothing to sneeze at; I usually get really good performance with them, even in low light. But man, I just gotta say, L3 unfilmed are something else. Now I could compare specs, with the PVS14 WP3UF being L3 WP Unflimed, with Carson glass, coming in at 2300 FOM range, but there's more to it than that. You can just see a lot fucking more. Yes, that's the new technical term for it.  Guys, buy from JRH with confidence. This is a really good deal. |
