I owned a 1-6 Razor years ago. Great experience and wish I never sold it. In February, I ordered a Viper PST Gen Ii 1-6 from Primary Arms. Got it, glass was great but dot was very dim. Competency different from the Razor ( which was super bright on 10 - I could barely look at it). Inthe pic below the scope was on 10. Yes, the battery was installed correctly and I tried an additional battery. I’m not new to scopes, but still read the manual and checked everything to ensure I did this right. Attached File I reached out to Vortex and their CS was great and quick. They confirmed the red dot was faulty and offered a replacement. They were out of the scope and told me I would get my replacement in the April time frame. I was lucky and got the notice at the end of March. I got the new scope and it HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. I couldn’t believe it. I even thought maybe they sent me the same scope back. I, again, tried another battery. No change. The below photo is on 10 again. Attached File Unacceptable.Confidence gone. I reached out to Vortex and asked for a refund. The CS was excellent and fast. Asked for my receipt and sent a shipping label. I haven’t received the check yet, but I’m expecting they will send when it is received and processed. Customer service has been very responsive and impressive. Couldn’t ask for better service, but I have to say I’m disappointed in the quality of the product and the repeated issue. Wish I didn’t have to take my business elsewhere. |

Sounds like they got a bad lot of components. My 1-6 PST II is nice, but its not quite 1-6 Razor nice. The Razor is just on a different level. |

| Sorry to hear that the optic wasn't what you were hoping for. We can definitely pass your feedback along to our product development team so they're aware! Once again, sorry that it didn't work out and definitely let us know if there's anything we can do for you in the future! |
| As promised, Vortex came through with the refund. The process was easy and hassle free. I have to say Vortex stood behind their products. This might not have worked out this time, but I won’t hesitate to buy a Vortex product again. I know they stand behind their product and live up to their warrant claims. Thanks, Vortex. |

I own several PST scopes, both Gen1 and Gen2. In my opinion they are some of the best value for performance out there. OPs issue does seem like an equipment/component issue. My PSTs are definitely brighter than that. |

Vortex binoculars came through, helped make a great Alaskan vacation. Family and I went on a long-planned Alaska vacation in June. Right before we left I realized I didn’t have any binoculars, well none that were made after 1990. Did some online research and went down to the LGS to take a look. It came down Vortex Diamondback HD 10x42 and a competitor. The competitor model was on sale and $50 cheaper. I remembered this experience and bought the Vortex. Why? Why did I buy the Vortex after having to send back their scope twice? Because they stood behind their product and kept their word. Went to Alaska, the whole family loved the binoculars. Not too big or heavy, super clear images of far away animals, sea life, views and Denali. Peace of mind, knowing Vortex’s ironclad warranty. Thanks, Vortex. |
