One of my buddies who has to travel with NODs a lot for work has been bitching about existing helmet cases. I'll post what pictures he sent me. The idea is basically a larger padded helmet case where you can leave your NODs assembled and travel with them that way. I like the idea and I'd be in for one myself if you are interested since I get tired of taking my shit apart constantly to move it back into the bag, same as him and half the other dual users I know. Thoughts?

Also, The front retention D ring should be adjustable. A few rows and columns of lightweight MOLLE sewn or integrated into the front portion of the bottom would be perfect. We use and test a variety of head mounted sensors, not just thermal overlay. Being able to adjust the retention within the bag itself would be ideal.  Thanks, Stu! |

About 8 5/8" - 8 3/4" tall: You have to stretch the V1 Otte bag quite a bit to close it. Also, crown down allows you store the mount with the amount of tilt that you use. Crown up doesnt allow for this.   |

Originally Posted By esstac-: people actually use those helmet bags I have the SKD TAC version. It’s… ok. In no way would it work with even just the mount on the helmet. I personally would only travel with the NODs IN the bowl of the helmet (for extra protection), but that’s me, I’m poor. |
