In an era of stress and anxiety, when the present seems unstable and the future unlikely, the natural response is to withdraw from reality, taking recourse in fantasies of the future or in modified visions of a half-imagined past.

What are new Bulgarian 30rd mags (nylon waffle ones) going for, anybody know?
Around $15 a piece? |

Mind you I like my TA33 and TA11 but have used and sold 3x TA31s which I don't care for Recalled ewe had done something close to that. A seldom discussed asset is Confidence (word is best pronounced by QB Joe Namath) Once familiarity, comfort, round count, utility, lethality and operability achieved, all things being equal, the most important 'intangible' augmentation/enhancement in a weapon system occurs when a given Config reaches the point of maximum or Total Confidence. Hesitation is reduced/eliminated, 'misses' become insignificant and/or vanish, trust thrives, Second Nature gets married to symbiotic force exuding reliability. 1 of many: Nick felt thousands of rounds from the hip until Bullseyes were routine ties off a Loose End. There WILL be times shoulder or eye-arm-line aiming takes too damn long... Emulated that approach. Pistols too. But it takes a Lot of Rounds. |

View Quote I remember finding a shopping cart filled to the top with slightly used 20rd Colts (couldn't even tell most were used) for a buck a piece. It was still full a month later; they just weren't selling. This was around 1970. AR's weren't "a thing" yet. M14 mags FLEW out the door at the same PX. They couldn't keep those in stock. |

In an era of stress and anxiety, when the present seems unstable and the future unlikely, the natural response is to withdraw from reality, taking recourse in fantasies of the future or in modified visions of a half-imagined past.

At bottom of that image are the 2 Cross Chest pouches holding 12 mags of 20 rounds 480 rounds may be carried by 1 Gunner, besides your sidearm and any ammunition carried by your Assistant Gunner who may have a Thompson, 3 bay ACP 30 round pouches, or 4 ACP L Drum pouches (200 rounds) plus another 120 rounds of .30 for your Machine Rifle Bottom photo is enlarged, at the bottom of that photo shows the 2 Cross-Chest pouches better, are worn in an X pattern |

I paid 15/per for a big load of 20rd mags from a post whore near MGD, was a good deal at the time. If I had a time machine I'd be fully stocked on surplus mags and ammo, back when a dollar was worth something |
