I think $2,500-$3,000. Which if it shoots sub MOA at that price I’d think it would be a good buy for someone who just insists on owning a .50BMG. Lol Cost on these, just like Barrett will be the fact that they’re not a high volume gun. So cost to produce never gets to an exactly “affordable” price point. Even if these guns came in at $2,000, which I doubt they will, there’s not going to exactly be people lined up for miles to buy one. There’s not much practicality in owning a .50BMG rifle. You’re going to want to put a $2500-$3000+ optic on it. Crappy basic FMJ ammo is, what, nearly $4/rnd these days? Kind of has a lot going against it for the majority of shooters. Although it absolutely is cool as hell. |

Krieger has them around $250-300. Batten Racing Engines make(made) awesome chem etch barrels at around $300 i believe it was. The carrier is about the most expensive part. To get cost per unit down, making them on a 5th axis cnc is cost and time effective. But the machine itself sets you back a hell of a lot. |

| Video said gas operated, magazine fed. What’s the cheapest semi auto 50 on the market? I bet price is $6999. Still cheaper than M107 or M82, but it’s a 50, you’re not getting it for $2999. |

The mag body can be made for around $20 or so. The polyurethane powder coat helps lift the rounds. Barrett doesn't make their mag bodies anymore. They farmed that out. They come in melonited. Then processed in house. Those mags should retail out in the $75-$80 range. |

| I’m unsure what the cost will be. Could be surprising in either direction. I do wish it were a bolt gun to save a little weight and put the emphasis on accuracy, probably cheaper too. But if the price is right I’m in. This has been on my PSA wishlist for a while. |

| I think this is one of those products that sounds a lot cooler than it would be in reality. I've put a decent number of rounds through M82s and M2s, and they are fun for a while, but shooting .50 is kind of a novelty to me. My range goes out to 1,250 yds, but even at that range, .50 isn't really providing an advantage on steel over decently fast 6.5mm, 7mm or .30 cal for way, way less money, and most folks are shooting shorter distances. I think the vast majority of these, if sold will see less than 100 rds ever. |
| I’d guess $4000. If it’s $1999 I’ll buy one even though I don’t have any need or use for one. |

I'm 100% in. PSA needs to make a cost competitive, effectively braked can to go along with it too. The other options out there are either ineffective at recoil reduction or cost more than the rifle you're putting it on (which is absurd). ETA - Other thing... Being gas operated it should be very accurate. Using a shit barrel will make them wildly unattractive at any price point. Use a good barrel. I'd pay the premium for a premium chrome-lined option from a reputable maker. It needs to at least be a MOA rifle with factory Hornady A-Max. ETA 2 - A 360* brake on a 50 can is a 100% no-go. Makes them nearly unusable unless you’re shooting on a nice concrete pad. |

Plus if you look at it you can tell it’s a fairly crude design (which is fine IMO), it’s just function over styling I think, they also had to have had some of the plans that bushmaster had from the 50 they used to make. I could see it being 2,499 and selling like crazy, especially if AAC could support it with $2.00 a round ammo that’s accurate. |

Most folks shoot at a 100yd range, hell a lot of folks shoot at an indoor range where this is practically useless. Even for those of us that can stretch something like this out, it's probably not going to have the accuracy to do anything interesting and will cost several dollars a shot for loud noises and giggles. Of all the time I've spent on the local long range, I think I've seen one .50 on the line and it was some college kids farting around, everyone who's a competitor or serious about it shoots a more practical setup. I'm not anti-fun or anti-.50, I just hope they don't waste time/money developing this thing that could be better spent on pretty much any other gun they showed this year. Also on the topic of the thread, it would probably be $4k+, which is very cheap for a semi-auto .50. |

It's honestly very interesting how they can bring the manufacturing costs down. The receiver looked basically like a steel tube (sten gun inspired?). I'm very curious how the bolt and locking system will be. |

I’m not hating on ya, you were just stating your view… I would postulate that MOST guns are rarely shot (buds guns reviews lolz) and there fore as long as it doesn’t KB the 3 times it’s taken out and isn’t “minute of barn” most folks will be happy with it🤷♂️. This is more of a novelty/insurance/peak gun owner grail gun type Thing for me The few guns I’ve traded and regret are: 460 Smith. Coonan 357, maybe a colt 45 or 10mm Glock. Ie, all the big dumb “impractical”. But dam if it wasn’t fun!! |

| So apparently the project is dead because of 'the price of ammo'?.....I'm guessing that's not the real answer. Noone has ever bought a 50 with the price of ammo as a concern....it's obviously not a gun you shoot alot for most people. But if it's affordable, alot of people still want one for the smiles!...are there people out there who don't want the common man to have access to cheap 50s? Definitely |
| I took it as the cost of the extensive testing they would want to do before releasing would be too expensive for the return on investment. Perhaps they intend to begin producing AAC .50 BMG ammo in the future and at a lower cost than current but won’t push forward with the Lancet until after the ammo is in production. Maybe |
