Thanks
Was that on the FH individually or the whole upper? |

I have 99% of the ar15sport 601 parts besides the rear takedown pin, for anyone wondering they quoted me "a couple of months" wait on them. Apparently they do the heat treat in batches so buy the stuff as soon as you can. I'm doing a very similar build, right now the bottleneck is the slickside uppers being out of stock. I had some issues with my 601 lower than mike is working on resolving. So far excellent RMA process. It saddens me to send back a lower with such a beautiful grey finish but it seems like they're getting very consistent company wide at this point so the new one will probably be just as good |

Hi Mike,
I have a Juggernaut Tactical JT9 AR pistol. Since I'm in California, Juggernaut is pretty much the only pistol lower I can use, except spending $1k to buy a used stripped lower from LEO. My lower comes with the Juggernaut maglock (Hellfighter button). Do you think the slick side 9mm carry handle upper receive will pair with my lower? Thank you very much! |

I got my XM177E2 pistol. It's fantastic. Balance is great and the finish is perfect. All the details look perfect to me.
The handguard slip ring is the straight early type, as opposed to the angled later type that the listing pictures showed. Not an issue to me, but something I thought I'd point out. In case anyone else was wondering on the weight, when I put it on my postal scale I got 5lbs 12.6oz. |

Got an odd issue I noticed on my XM177E2 pistol. The rear sight easily shifts from side-to-side with very little pressure, pushing on either the screw on the left or the adjustment wheel on the right, and stays where it's pushed. It moves maybe 1.5mm side to side, which would seem to be more than enough to impact accuracy. The screw isn't loose at all and doesn't want to go any tighter. Any idea if this is normal (I assume not), or suggestions on how to fix it?
I checked my H&R M16A1 and it also moves but far less, maybe half a mm. I guess the question becomes: should the sight be pushed to the left side or the right to remain consistent? It does look damn nice, and I love the handling Attached File |

All of my H&R uppers have a little play in the rear sight. I’ve experimented with using different windage screws to tighten them up. It seems the pin holes in the screws are not all bored in the exact same location. I’ve debated on putting a thin washer under the drum to fill in the gap. |

The detent and spring will always push it from left to right. No need to shim anything.
There has to be some room between the countersinks and the sight assembles. If you make things too close the sight will bind after assembly. |

Very glad I waited for it and I can't wait to shoot it, though I'll need the weather, smoke, and temperature to cooperate before that will happen. And my A1 has been pure pleasure since I got it. H&R is doing great work. I'm still hoping for a H&R 605 one of these days. |

Originally Posted By mike_nds: The detent and spring will always push it from left to right. No need to shim anything. View Quote This is true in theory, but particularly on a new build, I've found that the friction of the windage screw against the other components is sometimes greater than the strength of the spring, and the assembly doesn't always index to the right. It gets stuck, I think mostly caused by the texture of the finishes. You can adjust it a bunch and break down that friction, but a washer of the right size and thickness can be a great fix. IME, IMO, YMMV, FJB. |

All the USGI barrels I’ve owned were like this. If it's perfectly 12 o'clock TDC it will shoot 6"+ to the right and require the aperture to be way left. We have assembled and zeroed thousands of uppers this way and it works. |
