So a while back I picked up this upper parts kit. It's made to take Glock magazines in a standard lower receiver. I've assembled it and it all runs fine. The issue I've run into is that I can't use it on my RR lower. They cyclic rate is too high and I'm worried it'll damage the lower. Is is possible to convert this upper to DI or would I basically be building a new upper?

Small company.... and I have had a CNC lathe strewn all over the shop for two weeks, first had to rebuild the turret because of an index problem, then ran for a few days and the vector drive took a dump, got that fixed and the spindle motor went south....spent 6 hours on the road today picking the motor up from repair, and 5 hours yesterday taking it up to the repair shop..... .....hopefully we'll have it back up and running tomorrow.....
nothing in the Olympic is really compatible with the DI.....maybe the muzzle device.....but that would be about it. I could use the actual upper but it will require opening the ejection port and removing the ejector that Olympic used. Feel free to give me a call at the shop to discuss options.....sorry for the tardy reply

Also what caliber.....? I was thinking 45 when you asked DI, 9mm isn't really an option for DI......should be able to tame the 9mm cyclic rate with a buffer change....I have a 9mm Olympic on the stuff shelf....I'll stick it on an FA lower this weekend....or at least try and see how she does.....I have a colt pattern on a postie glock lower that had the piss run out of it, had it at Cola Warrior Southeast and I'm pretty sure it got 500 rounds through it that afternoon we had range day....
