As we usher in 2026 with a big sale to celebrate the unconstitutional tax on most NFA items going away, there is unfortunately some bad news for residents of California. As many may already know, Newsome has further eroded the rights of Americans in his state with more legislation. It is a burdensome legal minefield, and we simply don't have the capacity to deal with their additional requirements, so will no longer be shipping to California at all unless and until the smoke clears and a reasonable avenue for doing so becomes evident. And by at all, we mean also, and ESPECIALLY, no sales to government agencies in CA. We decided to go a step further with the government side of it; as can now be found in our terms and conditions, we need our dealers to be aware of our new policy: California: Due to new legislation further oppressing the citizens of California, as of 01 January 2026, California government agencies & agents are forbidden from procuring any ECCO Machine product, used or new. The distribution of any of our products to any California government agency or agent is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Any person found to be distributing our products to California government agencies or agents will have their account immediately and permanently revoked. There are NO exceptions to this prohibition. Civil action may also be taken against individuals/entities who violate this policy. Additionally, in keeping with the prohibition, any ECCO Machine product sold to any California government agency or agent after 01 Jan 2026 is transferred in violation of this policy and shall have NO WARRANTY. https://www.eccomachine.net/terms-conditions/ We had previously allowed LEAs in restricted states to procure items under a very specific exception requirement: Because we abhor “good for thee but not for me” public policy, we will NOT sell suppressors or any other items citizens are disallowed to government agencies in California, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York or Rhode Island. The sole exception to this policy is sales to a law enforcement agency in which the current CLEO has publicly and in an official capacity denounced the state’s infringement of its citizens’ constitutional right to keep and bear arms. We do support law enforcement and understand that LEAs have little to no input on legislation, but if your sheriff or chief hasn’t done this on behalf of the people, we cannot in good conscience sell to the agency. But that is now off the table for California LEAs |

trobertson5-0 I wasn't put in jail for what I did. I was put in it for what I think. There were FBI agents posting in my threads. I've seen the discovery showing this.

I wish we had the presence there for it to make a difference. Aside from some private purchases by people who happen to be LEOs in CA, our policy is unlikely to have any impact. It's mostly symbolic, much like it was when Ronnie Barrett took a similar approach. My hope in doing this is to inspire larger manufacturers and distributors to do the same. If we could get lots of silencer manufacturer and gunmakers to take the same approach, it might actually have a real effect. Unfortunately, there are manufacturers out there who not only won't refuse to deal with government on principle, but who prefer to sell to them. I'm proud to supply our local sherriff's office with their cans, but otherwise I couldn't care less if I get government sales, would much rather supply private citizens. |
