I’m looking for a .22 can around 6” or a little over for an AR .22lr conversion. The Resistance caught my eye while looking through the catalog, but there’s not a lot of info floating around the interwebs; it’s eclipsed by the Checkmate and other Griffin cans. If I use the taper mount, it’d be perfect in length, and it’s very inexpensive.
What I’m wondering is, does that longer blast chamber affect FRP or accuracy (by giving gasses opportunity to pass the projectile)? I’d be using subsonic .22lr exclusively, through an 8” Bbl. Doesn’t have to be the quietest, just hearing safe on a semi from first round to last, and accurate enough to be a good training analog.
I’m also eyeballing 9mm cans because I probably won’t clean it as often as I should and those have steel baffles.
