I ordered two plan a short taper mount hub adapters. Will these work with my hub cans and allow them to mount to my taper muzzle devices? The short and long stuff has me confused. Thanks! ETA: my Reece 5k is a “tube” suppressor, does that make it less durable than a tubeless suppressor? |

Check depth on your blast chamber, and if you have like a quarter inch or more of clearance, you’re good. The short Plan A is like .2” or .25” thick and the long one is like an inch. So if your can has a 1.6” deep chamber and you want to use a 1.8” long muzzle device, a short Plan A would have your muzzle device right up against the first baffle, which isn’t good. So you’d use a long Plan A for that. Err towards more than .25” clearance with a Ti can. As a general rule, most traditionally baffled tube-chassis cans like your Recce have more mass than otherwise similar tubeless models. This helps with sprint durability for gratuitous full-auto use. Due to the added mass, the tradeoff is that they cool a little more slowly than tubeless models. Your Recce is a durable can, and I’ve abused the shit out of Gate-Lok models that are near identical except for the mount. |
