I have 3 Eotech's made between 2003 and and 2005 , the 2005 is in the garbage and the other 2 will follow. the 2 left are sn#100640, and 100647. I have Aim points of the same age and they are both still going strong. I called and spoke with your customer service, and your customer service rep was very nice but could do nothing to help except offer a 50% off on a new Eotech at MSRP . Wile i do appreciate the offer ,I no longer trust your sights to last and preform. I always try and buy Quality American products when i can , but in the future i will be buying products that can last and be serviced by the manufacturer . FYI the said sights were mounted on a Colt, a BCM,and an LMT m4 ,and were never abused. They have all been used by myself and family at the range. I am not looking for anything from you ,but just thought you should know you have lost a customer for life.

All 3 have failed. As to model numbers ,i don't know ,the said units have no model numbers on them. I posted the SN# of them. 2 take AA batteries ,1 took N battery. I think 2 were 552's and the N battery one might be a 512. they were not inexpensive when i bought them. Lesson learned ,over $1000.00 down the toilet .

| Doesn't matter ,they are all in the landfill now. And if there were parts for a repair the service rep would have told me that when i called and spoke to them at Eotech, twice but he didn't. FYI, looked at them and cleaned them, and they looked ok. Also I didn't store them in the safe with batteries in them ,i never leave batteries in my red dots when they are not in use in the safe. So the batteries did not leak and destroy the units. And i did try brand new Duracell batteries ,but the sights were dead even with new fresh batteries. |

Would not even ATTEMPT repair. Given the massive amount of known issues with these pieces of shit (and my several are also shit, not all decades old either), HORRID battery life, and history of lying to consumers about potentially lethal issues, why anyone would simp for these trashcan optics is absolutely beyond me. |

Comparing them is like apples to bowling balls. Aimpoint and Eotech are two completely different technologies. It's stupid as hell to keep comparing them. There are pros and cons to both. |
