i was under the impression the original's shipped with a spec opps pro combat master long sheath? i have never seen the one you have...interesting.
it also appears the blade is sharpened at a different angle on the new ones? Looks to be a great addition to the stable. i wish they would have used some wilder grained scales for the handles like the first run but i cant wait till i have mine in hand. 2 more weeks |

Damn! I wish I had gotten in on this deal! Is it too late to order one? I'll have to get one from somewhere.

I’m pretty sure the combat master sheath I have is the short. I may have to order the long since the short is about 1/4” shy. I too like the look of the original scales, but I’m sure I’ll like these just fine. |

Doesn’t sound like it will be anytime soon. He said they sold 1,000 knives in 24 hours back on Memorial Day. The emails said “We are manufacturing knives at a rate of 80/week - the earlier you purchase, the quicker you will receive your own piece of LaRue history.” That was about 3 weeks ago and so far 6 people have posted up that they received tracking numbers. |

It sounds like they only shipped 20. There is some bullshit excuse about the order numbers on IG. My credit card is stored on the site and I received an order confirmation email before the announcement email arrived - a pre-preorder, if you will. I have a hard time believing I wasn’t one of the first 20 confirmed orders. Maybe I was skipped because I ordered multiple and they wanted to get the first 20 knives in unique hands. At any rate, 20 is a far cry from 80/week. But maybe they’ll knock out a few more of the pre-preorders next week.

Took mine out to the pasture today. That sheath is no joke built like a tank. I did pick up the combat master large sheath as well to have an alternative. Wife made fun of me for buying a frame for the spec sheet as well.
One of these days i’ll figure out how to post a pic from my phone as well. What’s the trick? |

Is that just a regular Dillo or is it a knife owners one? Kinda like he did with the buildAR Dillo.
Also what’s up with the signed sheaths? I thought the first thousand were getting autographed. LaRue’s IG isn’t working for me… maybe I bugged mark too much about the knife. lol |
|
|
Just a regular dillo an employee delivered mine as he lived nearby probably had extras in truck haha. Sounds like may have been an issue with original Leather supplier based on insta. Maybe why we are getting the sweet signed spec sheets instead. Either way the poor bugger gonna have to sign 1k of em haha.

Honestly, I like the autographed spec sheet more than the sheath being signed.
I can display the spec sheet (next to my Siete one), whereas the sheath signature would be covered up while in use and possible over time fad/wear off... |

Agree with you on this one for sure. I plan on using this a good bit, backside of sheath rubbing on my leg all deer season wouldn’t bode well.

View Quote My Siete spec sheet is still in the box leaning against the wall in my office. Lol. It’s no biggie, I planned on running a different sheath to preserve the signature for later resale value. (My wife won’t want it when I kick off) Plus I grabbed 2 of them, one for use and one to be a safe queen. |
