From what I seem to see, they'll have a lot of Aero and Anderson combined with a bit of some company like DD or SOLGW. Sometimes the expensive guns will be Radian or BRO (ugh). To be honest, most gun stores are pretty terrible. If you can find a halfway decent FFL, you're usually better off ordering online. I'd like to buy from local stores more but in most cases, they're either overpriced or don't have what I want in stock. Other than the rare stuff like railed 1911s, you can easily find any Colt AR or revolver online for a decent price. |

There is one gun store nearby that usually has an AR15A4 on the rack, but you are correct that they aren't that common in most stores which is why I buy most of mine online. Kind of funny to think that ~13 years ago you could buy 6920s and 6940s at Walmart. Colt has plenty of contracts, to include active ones with the US government. Mexico and Singapore use the Colt IAR-the recently available 16" uppers were Mexican contract overruns IIRC, and the 11.5" IAR uppers were FBI HRT overruns; and I believe Finland also bought a bunch of M4s while they get production for the Sako AR spun up. |
